Job Description:

We’re looking for a full-time Dispensing Optician (37.5 hours) to join our Handforth Dean store. The store is a busy, high-end practice with a strong customer base and a reputation for delivering great patient care. The practice has 2.5 testing rooms with 25-minute testing times and offers additional services including Low Vision, Dry Eye and MECS. You’ll be working with a large and supportive team of 18 colleagues, including 3 resident Optometrists and 1 Pre-Registration Optometrist. The store was recently refitted in January 2026, providing a modern and professional clinical environment. Store opening hours are 9:00–20:00, and the role will include 1–2 late nights per week and Saturday working. Newly qualified Dispensing Opticians will be considered, and the store is looking for someone who is keen to become a long-term member of the team.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
  • Passion for your own learning and development, completing all CPD training as part of the GOC requirement
