Job Description:

Hunter AHP have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Dispensary Pharmacist to join the Outpatient Pharmacy team at a busy NHS hospital in Hampshire. This is a fantastic role for a pharmacist with strong dispensary and accuracy checking experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Clinical screening of outpatient prescriptions in line with hospital and national guidelines
  • Accurate final checking of dispensed items (ACT qualification not required but desirable)
  • Supporting dispensary workflow and resolving medication queries
  • Providing medicines information and advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
  • Working closely with pharmacy technicians and assistants to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Maintaining high standards of documentation, stock control and dispensing accuracy
  • Supporting audit and quality improvement initiatives within the dispensary

Requirements:

  • GPhC-registered Pharmacist
  • NHS hospital dispensary experience is essential
  • Comfortable working in a busy, patient-facing outpatient environment
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Experience with JAC or similar electronic systems is desirable
