GPhC-registered Pharmacist
NHS hospital dispensary experience is essential
Comfortable working in a busy, patient-facing outpatient environment
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Experience with JAC or similar electronic systems is desirable

Job Responsibility

Clinical screening of outpatient prescriptions in line with hospital and national guidelines
Accurate final checking of dispensed items (ACT qualification not required but desirable)
Supporting dispensary workflow and resolving medication queries
Providing medicines information and advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
Working closely with pharmacy technicians and assistants to ensure smooth daily operations
Maintaining high standards of documentation, stock control and dispensing accuracy
Supporting audit and quality improvement initiatives within the dispensary

Job Responsibility

Own and report pharmacy KPIs daily to Superintendent Pharmacist
Ensure compliance with relevant UK pharmacy regulations set forth by UK Regulatory bodies (GPhC)
Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations including dispensing prescriptions, inventory management, quality control procedures, health & safety and productivity management
Provide training, guidance and support to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Collaborate with Superintendent Pharmacist, Operations Director and Head of Quality/Responsible Person to ensure all regulatory risks within the pharmacy environment are identified, managed and removed
Maintain accurate records of pharmacy transactions, prescriptions and regulatory documentation
