We are looking for a detail-oriented Dispatcher to join a logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. Job Responsibility
Coordinate daily delivery and pickup routes by reviewing incoming order paperwork and assigning transportation details accurately.
Organize, sort, and process order tickets so materials can be staged correctly and tracked throughout the workflow.
Enter shipment, routing, and pickup information into dispatch and warehouse systems with a high level of accuracy.
Update coded ticket details and maintain complete records to support smooth warehouse and driver operations.
Communicate with drivers during the shift to review route activity, paperwork, and end-of-day dispatch needs.
Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and internal logistics platforms to manage documentation and support scheduling tasks.
Work closely with supervisors and team members to keep routing priorities aligned with operational demands.
Learn company procedures and internal systems, including dispatch and warehouse software, through on-the-job training.
Requirements
Previous experience in dispatching, routing, or logistics coordination is required.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a large volume of paperwork and task priorities.
Comfort learning new software applications and entering data accurately in multiple systems.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel in a work setting.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with drivers, coworkers, and supervisors.
Nice to have
Familiarity with geographic routing and route planning concepts is preferred.
Customer service or call center experience is helpful for handling operational communication effectively.
