We are looking for a Dispatcher to support daily coordination and communication efforts for a contract to hire position based in Torrance, California. This role is ideal for someone who can manage incoming requests, prioritize service needs, and provide responsive customer support in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key part in organizing logistics, maintaining accurate dispatch records, and helping ensure timely service delivery.
Job Responsibility:
Manage inbound calls and service requests, gathering essential details and assigning work based on urgency and availability
Coordinate schedules and route information to support efficient daily operations and timely response efforts
Use computer-aided dispatch tools to update job status, track activity, and maintain accurate service records
Communicate clearly with customers, field personnel, and internal teams to confirm timelines and resolve routine issues
Monitor active assignments throughout the day and adjust dispatch plans when priorities or conditions change
Provide call center support by answering questions, documenting concerns, and escalating matters when needed
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in dispatching, customer service, call center support, or a related coordination role
Working knowledge of computer-aided dispatch systems or similar scheduling and tracking platforms
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to handle a high volume of calls professionally
Ability to organize multiple tasks, balance changing priorities, and remain accurate under pressure
Customer-focused approach with sound judgment and dependable follow-through
Basic computer proficiency and comfort entering, updating, and reviewing operational information
