Job Description:

Come work for a leader in the warehousing and transportation with a dynamic family-like transportation team in a fast-paced environment. Adding a Dispatcher to the LTL freight division handling Quebec / Ontario LTL shipments.

Job Responsibility:

Schedule and dispatch drivers to pick up and deliver loads to and from customers
Assist in achieving the objectives of the pick-up and drop-off (P&D) operations
Maintain contact with drivers throughout the day
Plan the P&D activities and staffing required to meet the objectives
Ensure drivers are aware of all/any unusual delivery/pickup requirements and update TMS System (Truck Mate)
Ensure drivers are made aware of all appointment deliveries, cash collects and C.O.D.’s
Monitor and track all equipment as assigned or moved
Support with driver check-in when required
To ensure all updates in Truck Mate System are done in real time for statuses of all trucks and trailers

Requirements:

French and English is necessary
2 years experience in Dispatching LTL transport environment, city/local dispatching
1 year experience using TMS software (Truckmate preferred)
A true team player who posses leadership skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and works well under pressure
Organized and ability to prioritize tasks

What we offer:

Permanent full time, Monday to Friday
Hours ranging around 7:30 am to 4:30 pm schedule
3 weeks vacation + 5 personal days
