We are looking for a Dispatcher to support daily transportation and service coordination in New Orleans, Louisiana. The right candidate will be comfortable managing multiple requests at once, using dispatch systems and office software to track activity, resolve issues, and maintain accurate records.
Job Responsibility
Coordinate incoming service or delivery requests and assign work based on schedule, location, and operational priorities
Communicate with drivers, technicians, or field personnel to provide updates, adjust routes, and address service changes throughout the day
Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email, providing timely information and attentive support regarding schedules and service status
Monitor dispatch activity in real time using computer-aided systems and internal tracking tools to maintain efficient workflow
Record call details, service updates, and operational notes accurately to support reporting and continuity across shifts
Work with internal teams to resolve delays, scheduling conflicts, and service concerns while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
Use Microsoft Excel and Outlook to organize dispatch information, manage communications, and support daily administrative tasks
Requirements
Previous experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or a call center environment
Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm, attentive to detail, and solution-oriented under pressure
Familiarity with computer-aided dispatch systems or similar scheduling and tracking platforms
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook for documentation, communication, and task management
Ability to manage multiple priorities at once while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers, drivers, and internal staff
Reliable organizational skills and sound judgment when adjusting schedules or responding to changing service needs
