The Dispatcher will coordinate drivers, routes, and shipments to ensure efficient and on-time transportation operations. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact between drivers, customers, and internal teams while maintaining accurate records and responding quickly to schedule changes.
Job Responsibility:
Schedule and dispatch drivers, vehicles, and equipment based on customer needs and delivery timelines
Monitor routes and provide real-time updates to drivers and clients
Communicate with drivers regarding load details, route changes, and delivery instructions
Track shipments and ensure timely pickups and deliveries
Resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, or service issues promptly
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities in transportation management systems
Verify documentation including bills of lading, delivery confirmations, and logs
Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to optimize workflow
Ensure compliance with DOT and company policies
Requirements:
1–3+ years of dispatch, logistics coordination, or transportation experience
Strong multitasking and organizational skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
experience with dispatch or transportation management systems preferred
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Nice to have:
Experience in freight, trucking, or third-party logistics (3PL) environments
Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance standards
Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus
