We are looking for a Dispatcher to support daily service coordination for a Contract position based in Waterbury, Connecticut. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage incoming requests, organize schedules, and keep communication flowing between customers, field teams, and internal staff. The role requires strong customer service skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle dispatch activity efficiently in a fast-paced construction and contractor environment.
Job Responsibility
Coordinate daily dispatch activity by assigning service calls and work orders based on priority, availability, and location
Respond to customer inquiries by phone and provide clear, thorough updates regarding schedules, service timing, and request status
Maintain accurate records in dispatch and scheduling systems to ensure job details, technician assignments, and service notes are current
Work closely with field personnel to adjust routes, confirm appointment windows, and address unexpected scheduling changes throughout the day
Create and manage appointments for service visits while balancing workload demands and operational efficiency
Review incoming work requests for completeness and route them to the appropriate teams for timely execution
Communicate with internal departments and external contacts to support smooth logistics coordination across active jobs
Monitor open assignments and follow up as needed to help ensure work orders are completed and documented properly
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in dispatching, customer service, call center support, or a related coordination role
Ability to manage high-volume phone communication while maintaining professionalism and accuracy
Experience using computer-aided dispatch, scheduling platforms, or similar operational systems
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple service requests and schedule changes
Comfortable handling work orders, appointment setting, and logistics coordination in a fast-paced setting
Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers, technicians, and internal teams
Proficiency with standard computer applications and data entry tasks required for dispatch documentation
