Job Description

Robert Half is hiring on a contract-to-hire basis for mulitple Dispatchers to join a high-volume alarm monitoring team in Statesville, North Carolina. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for someone who can stay composed in urgent situations, communicate clearly, and manage multiple tasks with accuracy. In this role, you will help coordinate responses to alarm activity from commercial locations while ensuring customers and emergency personnel receive timely, attentive support. 2nd Shift- onsite 3p-11p.

Job Responsibility

  • Review incoming alarm, trouble, and supervisory notifications and determine the appropriate next steps based on established response procedures
  • Handle signals tied to burglary, fire, medical, and other emergency events from commercial properties in a timely and organized manner
  • Place outbound calls to verify incidents, alert emergency services when needed, and contact designated account representatives
  • Maintain clear, attentive communication with customers and responders during high-pressure situations
  • Record event details, actions taken, and response outcomes accurately within the monitoring platform
  • Enter, update, and verify account and incident information with strong attention to detail across computer-based systems
  • Prioritize multiple active events at once while meeting response expectations in a fast-paced operations setting

Requirements

  • Previous experience in dispatching, alarm monitoring, call center operations, customer support, or emergency response is preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and professionally during stressful situations
  • Comfort using computer-based systems and switching between multiple applications throughout the workday
  • High level of accuracy in data entry, documentation, and event tracking
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays when required
  • Dependable attendance, sound judgment, and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Ability to complete pre-employment screening requirements, which may include drug testing, background checks, and fingerprinting
