The Dispatcher (WO) is responsible for receiving equipment orders and sending drivers to pick up and drop off goods to a wide variety of venues during regular standard and off standard working hours. Accountable for logistics, efficiencies, and communicating essential information to drivers and customers. This position reports to the Warehouse Operations Manager.
Job Responsibility

Provide superior customer service
Maintain a positive relationship with all drivers and customers
Ensure drivers have necessary equipment for deliveries
Communicate with customers on deliveries due to delays, weather, and equipment issues
Coordinate dispatch and delivery activities between drivers and customers
Assist warehouse team with pulling, receiving, and transportation of equipment as needed
Ensure all equipment is in good condition for deliveries
Ensure order accuracy
Ensure vehicles are well maintained by scheduling service appointments
Ensure Driver Vehicle Inspection Logs are performed before each trip
Ensure general maintenance supplies are on hand
Schedule mechanical maintenance needs as needed
Ensure delivery trucks are kept clean and maintained daily
Ensure drivers follow set routes by dispatch for optimal production
Provide directions from location to location when needed
Provide management with reporting on fleet and drivers
Maintain current fleet and driver information on Fleetmatics system
Create balanced routes for optimal driver/truck production and fleet efficiency
Monitor live routes for optimal route and traffic condition
Confirm drivers are operating in a manner that consistently reflects Encore values
Keep in contact with drivers to determine progress and provide alternative directions
Manage and monitor manual and/or electronic log books
Requirements
High School Diploma / GED
3 years of transportation or logistics experience (fleet management preferred)
Basic Audio-Visual Experience
Basic Computer Skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Understand hours of service rules and regulations
Ability to lead the organization in a safe, efficient and caring manner
General knowledge of vehicle inspection and maintenance
Ability to give, receive and follow written and/or oral instructions
High level of composure and good stress management skills
Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
Knowledge of CDL / non-CDL rated equipment and thresholds
Understanding of air mile rules for both CDL and non-CDL drivers
Have knowledge and understanding of DOT rules and regulations
Ability to work both independently and cooperatively
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external customers
Ability to work safely with high degree of quality
High degree of teamwork with customers, peers, and managers
Ability to use and understand automated routing software
