Able to work a fixed schedule - 5 days
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Dispatch experience is preferred but not required
Strong communication and customer service skills necessary
Prior fuel industry experience a plus
Must be able to make effective decisions
Position requires availability for "on-call" rotation

Job Responsibility

Utilizing "State of the art" dispatching systems - efficiently schedule drivers and third party haulers daily ensuring on-time delivery of product to various delivery points
Sets driver daily work in an efficient and professional manner to include fair route assignments while achieving maximum efficiency and cost savings for our customers
Manages complex routine including rescheduling, and handles any and all delivery issues and promptly communicates the concerns with the customer service team for follow up
Plan deliveries 24/48 hours in advance
Assimilate information from a variety of sources and prioritize needs
Identify what was sold and anticipate customer fuel needs
Determine who needs loads, identifying most critical/least critical
Assess market impact on loads Interact with CSR about orders and design load strategies if needed
Schedule timely deliveries to eliminate possible run outs
Meet delivery windows on all loads

Requirements

Two years of CDL driving experience with hazmat and safe record
Class A commercial driver’s license with hazmat and tanker endorsements

Job Responsibility

Analyzes transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure efficient and economical delivery
Reviews proposals and makes recommendations for modifications in rates and transportation regulations
Evaluates freight classifications, tariff rates and operating efficiency
Plans and coordinates fleet operations
Receives delivery schedule from Truck Dispatcher
Organizes delivery route and makes required preparations
Calls dispatcher or leaves message after each delivery
Perform predelivery trip check on tank truck following Department of Transportation safety specifications
Drives a tank truck & trailer or tractor/trailer to customer’s location
Connects hose to tank and opens valves

Job Responsibility

Entering sales orders onto SAGE
Allocating stock and dispatching sales orders on SAGE, including delivery notes and invoices
Liaising with customers regarding dispatch and orders
Organising dispatch and delivery arrangements
Printing picking lists for product picking and shipping
Updating and processing purchase orders through SAGE, including EDI Direct spreadsheets
Filing dispatch sheets/labels and updating databases
Chasing completion of End-User Agreements
Managing correspondence and typing letters from sales reps and HQ
Assisting with the collation of technical files and supporting Regulatory Affairs
