We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Dispatcher / Customer Service Representative to join our team in New Castle, Delaware. This role is responsible for coordinating schedules, communicating with drivers or field staff, and providing excellent service to customers by handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely updates. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility
Receive and manage incoming service requests, calls, and customer inquiries
Schedule and dispatch drivers, technicians, or service personnel based on availability, priority, and location
Monitor routes, job progress, and service timelines to ensure efficient operations
Communicate delays, schedule changes, and service updates to customers and internal teams
Provide professional and courteous customer service by phone, email, and in person as needed
Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when appropriate
Maintain accurate dispatch logs, schedules, work orders, and customer records
Coordinate with operations, warehouse, or field teams to support service delivery
Enter and update data in dispatching, CRM, or internal scheduling systems
Assist with billing support, documentation, and administrative tasks as needed
Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in dispatching, customer service, call center, logistics, or administrative support preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dispatching or scheduling software
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and professional when handling urgent situations or customer concerns
Nice to have
Familiarity with routing, scheduling, or service coordination
Experience in transportation, logistics, field service, or service-based industries
Bilingual skills English/Spanish are a plus
