Job Description:

As the Dispatch Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in guiding and supporting our Ecommerce Dispatch Team day‑to‑day. You’ll have a clear overview of the team’s performance, helping them meet targets around fulfilment accuracy, error reduction, and timely dispatch. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll lead by example - working alongside the team on the ground, offering support, and helping to keep operations running smoothly.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and support the Dispatch Team throughout the day, providing guidance on queries, requests, and ad‑hoc issues
  • Escalate complex or critical situations to the Dispatch Manager as required
  • Ensure all orders are completed accurately and dispatched by end of day with minimal packing errors
  • Actively participate in packing and distribution tasks, setting a strong example of high‑quality work and teamwork
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and support the onboarding of new starters, including work inductions and site tours

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading or supervising a team within a similar operational environment, such as a production line, warehouse, dispatch centre, or operations facility
  • First Aid at Work qualified
  • Fire Safety at Work qualified
  • 1–3 years’ experience working in warehouse or operational logistics, ideally within the food & beverage industry or a similarly fast‑moving environment
  • Comfortable using warehouse management systems, digital picking/packing tools, and operational reporting platforms
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to give clear instructions, coach team members, and escalate challenges where necessary
