Job Description

We are currently recruiting an energetic, results-focused post-secondary student to join our team! This position offers an opportunity to gain experience and to learn more about our dispatch team, the company, and the industry. As the Dispatch Student, you will be a key player in supporting dispatch-related issues and programs. Working closely with your team, you will use your exceptional customer service skills to build relationships with, and give support to, our Drivers.

Job Responsibility

  • Communication with customers and drivers via telephone, email, chat, and satellite
  • Assisting with customs-related issues for South- and North-bound shipments
  • Providing our drivers with information such as customer specifics, routing, road conditions, and other information
  • Problem solving by working closely with our drivers and internal departments to service our customers
  • Working closely with our Customer Service, Customs, Planning, and other internal teams
  • Helping with breakdown situations and working closely with our local shop

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education with a focus on any combination of Supply Chain, Management, or Business Administration, or related field
  • Ability to work independently and work effectively as a team player
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Flexibility to meet changing work needs and demands
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-tasking, deadline oriented, high volume and fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Full‑time availability during the summer
  • Weekend availability is required to support operational needs
