Job Description

The Night Operations position is responsible for overseeing all Dispatch activity for their assigned shift in the Night Operations department. This position will be primarily focused on City and Highway dispatch. The focus of this role is the identification and resolution of all non-routine or time-sensitive issues that arise after regular business hours. The Night Operations staff must display sound judgment and involve other operations staff in the resolution process, as they deem necessary. Must be well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness. This position follows a modified Night shift schedule: Sunday to Tuesday, and alternating Wednesdays (every other week). Hours of work are 18:00 - 06:00 MST.

Job Responsibility

  • Identification and resolution of all non-routine and time-sensitive issues that occur after regular business hours
  • Prioritize each situation (emergency, non-routine, routine) and respond accordingly
  • Management of all after-hours satellite, telephone and in-person communications for multiple city and highway fleets
  • Manage all incoming inquiries and provide excellent customer service according to company standards
  • Reporting and documenting of all after-hours activity for customer service, planning and driver related issues to the appropriate personnel
