The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and ensuring all equipment and work areas are kept in an orderly condition. This role supports kitchen staff and contributes to smooth restaurant operations in a hotel environment.
Job Responsibility:
Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashing machines or by hand
Keep dishwashing area clean, organized, and compliant with hotel safety and hygiene standards
Dispose of trash properly and maintain cleanliness of trash and recycling areas
Monitor cleaning supplies and report when restocking is needed
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and prep areas as assigned
Assist kitchen staff with basic tasks such as food prep or restocking when needed
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies to ensure a safe kitchen environment
Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, reporting any malfunctions to supervisors
Ensure dishes are dried, stored, and ready for use by restaurant staff
Support banquet and restaurant operations during busy periods
Requirements:
Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a kitchen environment is an advantage but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
