Job Description:

The Sebastian Vail is seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This critical role ensures that our kitchen maintains a clean, efficient, and organized environment, enabling our chefs to prepare exceptional dishes for our guests. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the high standards of our establishment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace and kitchen area, including loading and unloading dishwashers, removing trash, and recycling materials
  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils to ensure they are in optimal condition for use
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Support kitchen staff with food prep and other duties as needed, which may include washing vegetables, organizing supplies, and restocking as necessary
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen service
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures set forth by the establishment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to follow instructions
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed
  • Basic understanding of food safety standards
