Under direction of the Culinary Team, the Dishwasher will wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
Job Responsibility:

Inspect all dishwashing equipment and related tools in the dish area before starting work to ensure they are clean, sanitized, and in proper working condition. Report any malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately
Cleans, sanitizes, and organizes all glassware and china daily to maintain proper hygiene and presentation standards
Ensures that all kitchen equipment, utensils, and cooking appliances are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained in proper working condition on a daily basis, following company standards and health regulations
Oil Management & Fryer Maintenance: Employee must follow proper procedures for filtering and disposing of cooking oil and ensure deep fryers are cleaned and maintained according to company standards and safety guidelines
Vent Hood Cleaning: Employee must follow proper procedures for cleaning and maintaining kitchen hood vents to ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and fire prevention standards
Safety Compliance: Employee must adhere to all proper safety practices and consistently use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing assigned tasks
Occasionally, will be requested to clean and sanitize walk-in coolers or freezers, including floors, racks, and walls, following proper food safety and sanitation guidelines
Responsible for removing kitchen trash and recyclables promptly and safely, ensuring proper disposal in designated areas and maintaining cleanliness in waste storage zones. Must inspect trash for food waste placed in the wrong receptacle and correct as needed, following company standards and safety guidelines
Responsible for sweeping and mopping kitchen floors as needed during service and at the end of each shift to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
Performs other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by management
Responsible for promptly reporting unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or potential hazards to management
Maintains the food service areas/kitchen in a neat, clean, clutter-free, and safe environment
Shows flexibility by rotating to other service locations when necessary.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year stewarding experience in the hospitality industry
Must be able to communicate with co-workers and management
Strong commitment to delivering a high level of customer and client service
Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management
Must be flexible to work extended hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to work in a team environment
High level of organization and attention to detail
Must be able to remain calm in stressful situations
Must be able to smile and maintain positive body language
Must be able to make generalizations, evaluations, and decisions without immediate supervision
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to obtain CA Food Handlers Certification
