Job Responsibility

  • Draft, propound, and respond to written discovery
  • Manage discovery deadlines and calendaring
  • Coordinate document collection, review, and production
  • Organize and maintain case files and litigation databases
  • Prepare subpoenas, deposition notices, and related materials
  • Summarize medical records and case-related documents
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibits, witness files, and court filings
  • Communicate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and vendors regarding discovery matters

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience
  • Experience handling discovery from inception through trial preparation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment
  • Experience with medical malpractice, healthcare litigation, personal injury, or complex civil litigation is highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation management software
  • Background in medical malpractice or personal injury matters is strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of California civil discovery rules and litigation procedures is required
  • Strong written communication, organization, and file management skills
  • Ability to prioritize a busy workload and meet multiple deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with case management software and general litigation support tools
