The Diagnostic Sales Specialist role is to grow sales for the diagnostics product portfolios in their designated territory with a strong focus on design in for new and recurring business opportunities within all customer segments. The Diagnostic Sales Specialist will have a keen understanding of the market dynamics and areas for growth, an awareness and familiarity of the needs of the customer, and knowledge of Cytiva's diagnostic product portfolio offerings. This position is part of the Diagnostics commercial team within the Discovery and Medical OpCo and will be fully remote in the Boston and surrounding area. Job Responsibility
Serve as the primary Cytiva solutions provider for all diagnostic application needs within the assigned territory, representing the company with professionalism and deep customer understanding
Develop and execute a strategic territory plan in partnership with Cytiva colleagues and distribution partners to drive annual account growth and expand market presence
Own accurate and timely sales forecasting and pipeline management in CRM while achieving quarterly and annual operating plans and driving customer satisfaction and retention
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including marketing‑generated leads, while leading pricing negotiations and supporting complex, strategic deal development
Collaborate closely with customer R&D and technical teams, alongside internal R&D, FAS, and Product partners, to deliver optimal solutions that accelerate customer success
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in the Life Sciences field, ideally a master’s or Ph.D. degree in biology, biochemistry, immunology, or molecular biology
5+ years of commercial experience, preferably in the Life Sciences industry. Experience with magnetic beads, lateral flow, membrane-based applications, or Next Generation Sequencing
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders & to work collaboratively across functions and geographies to drive execution
Good analytical skills as well as experience with sales tools such as Saleforce.com
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to present technical presentations and training. Ability to coordinate, lead and influence internal and external teams
Ability to travel up to 50%, including Eastern Canada
