Job Responsibility:
To be responsible for the overall wellbeing and happiness of the children in your care
To help deliver a program of daily activities suitable for the age range of the children in a safe environment
Follow activity plans and instructions provided by the Camp Manager
Lead and supervise a group of early years children during play, creative activities, and outdoor time
To promote the ethos of Discover Activity Camps, providing an exceptional role model to children in your care
Promotion of exceptional safeguarding practices at all times, including awareness or recording and reporting procedure in accordance with the Safeguarding Policy
To be responsible for the security of the premises in which activities are undertaken
To ensure that buildings and rooms are adequately secured upon departure through the use of door codes and locks
Create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment tailored to the needs of younger children
Meeting and greeting parents, signing children in at the start of the day and out at the end of the day
Accompanying children around the site to different activities, supervising lunch and supervising open play sessions
Support children with toileting, snack times, and transitions between activities
Requirements:
Experience working with children aged 4 – 5 years old
Some understanding of early childhood education and safeguarding practices
Experience coaching, teaching or instructing young people is desirable, but not essential
Experience delivering other activities such as arts/dance/music/computing/science
Childcare/educational play certificates
Nice to have:
