Job Description

The Disclosures Officer role is key to ensuring Vodafone meets its’ legally mandated obligations under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 and other lawful frameworks. The Disclosures Team, as the operational arm of the Government Security Team, is responsible for providing support to government agencies, law enforcement and other agencies in the prevention/detection of crime and the recovery of vulnerable, life at risk individuals in a challenging and rapidly changing environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Prioritise high profile investigations, serious and organised crime and national security
  • Be the liaison and management between all areas across the Vodafone business and, within law enforcement, government and cross industry
  • Protect our customers and their data, only providing it upon a legally binding request and in compliance with applicable Vodafone policies
  • Management of obligations and SLAs laid down under the Investigatory Powers Act on a daily, 24/7 basis
  • Provide expert 24/7 assistance and advice to LEAs/Blue Light Services and appropriate VF departments
  • Manage working relationship with all UK Police Forces

Requirements

  • Calm under pressure when working with law enforcement investigating serious crimes
  • Able to prioritise assistance for national security and life at risk investigations
  • Must be able to influence teams not directly accountable for disclosure where assistance is required rapidly in high profile incidents and cases
  • Must agree to and pass Security Clearance to at least SC level
  • Ability to analyse complex, technical comms data and deliver succinct, clear responses to queries
  • A clear communicator. Able to deliver training to multiple levels of law enforcement
