Are you a Law Clerk or Paralegal with an appointment as a Notary Public and a strong background in Real Estate? We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Discharge Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in the mortgage lifecycle, ensuring that loan discharges are executed, notarized, and registered correctly across multiple provinces.

Job Responsibility:

  • Execute and notarize legal documents within established timelines for multiple provinces
  • Review, interpret, and analyze property titles, providing expert options for resolution of discrepancies
  • Ensure all discharges are completed correctly and registered in accordance with specific Provincial Requirements
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries via multiple mediums, maintaining high standards of customer centricity
  • Perform administrative duties including quality checking of documents and document preparation
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate policies, lender procedures, and provincial signing requirements
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and delivery of internal training programs

Requirements:

  • Law Clerk or Paralegal diploma is required
  • Must be an appointed Notary Public in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO)
  • Proven background in Real Estate transactions and document execution
  • Ability to analyze complex property titles and solve problems independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for dealing with diverse stakeholders
  • A team player who is self-motivated and can work effectively with minimal supervision
