The IT Infrastructure and Security Disaster Recovery Coordinator in Allianz Technology Malaysia, Regional Delivery Center (RDC) is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the disaster recovery (DR) plans and processes to ensure the resilience and continuity of IT infrastructure and security systems. This role involves collaborating with various departments to prepare for potential disruptions, coordinating recovery efforts, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure and security systems, ensuring alignment with business continuity objectives
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats to IT systems and data
  • Coordinate and conduct regular disaster recovery tests and drills to evaluate the effectiveness of DR plans, identify gaps, and implement improvements
  • Act as the primary point of contact during disaster recovery events, coordinating response efforts, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely recovery of critical systems
  • Maintain detailed documentation of disaster recovery plans, procedures, and test results, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders
  • Work closely with IT, security, and business continuity teams to ensure a cohesive approach to disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on disaster recovery procedures and best practices, fostering a culture of preparedness

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in disaster recovery planning, IT infrastructure management, or IT security
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and security principles
  • Experience with disaster recovery tools and technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are desirable
