Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting people with daily living activities, personal care and routines
  • Assisting clients with manual handling using hoists and slings
  • Encouraging independence, choice and inclusion
  • Supporting community access, social activities and wellbeing
  • Building trusted relationships with clients, families and colleagues
  • Maintaining safe, respectful and positive environments

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous
  • Person centred approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Reliability and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Availability to work a range of shifts (including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and sleepovers)
  • The capacity to meet the physical requirements as manual handling tasks are involved
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
  • First Aid & CPR Certification
  • National Criminal History Check (Police Check)
  • Australian open Driver’s License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle

Nice to have:

  • Ideal experience in applicants of SIL environment
  • Cert 3 in individual Support, disability or aged care advantageous
  • Experience & trained in complex behaviours and trauma informed clients
