Job Description:

This position supports a Community Access client in Bundoora with: Thursdays: 2:30pm – 5:30pm; Fridays: 1:00pm – 4:00pm; Weekly ongoing support. You’ll also have the ability to pick up additional shifts in the Thomastown area, across Group Support, Community Access, In?Home Support, and Supported Independent Living (SILS). Every day brings something different and rewarding.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support individuals with personal care, routines, and household tasks
  • Assist with meal planning, cooking, and light cleaning
  • Facilitate community outings, appointments, and social participation
  • Build independence through skills such as budgeting and communication
  • Maintain positive relationships with families, friends, and support networks

Requirements:

  • Empathy, reliability, and a proactive, person?centred attitude
  • Experience supporting people one?on?one or in groups
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem?solving skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including sleepovers (penalty rates apply)
  • A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to use positive behaviour strategies
  • Fit2Work National Criminal History Check
  • WWCC
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
