A well-established accountancy practice in Oxfordshire is seeking to appoint a Director to play a key role in the leadership and ongoing development of the firm. This is a senior opportunity for an experienced practice professional to take responsibility for a mixed client portfolio, combining accounts, tax and advisory work, while contributing to strategic decision-making and team leadership. The role offers autonomy, influence and long-term career security within a progressive and commercially minded firm.
Job Responsibility:
Managing and developing a mixed portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses and more complex entities
Acting as a trusted adviser to clients across accounts, tax and business matters
Taking responsibility for audit oversight, including signing audits where applicable
Maintaining and developing Responsible Individual (RI) status, or working towards RI status if not already held
Leading, mentoring and supporting senior team members and Managers
Contributing to firm-wide strategy, operational improvements and growth initiatives
Supporting business development and strengthening long-term client relationships
Ensuring technical quality, compliance and best practice across client work
Playing an active role in developing people and future leaders within the firm
Requirements:
ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
Significant experience within a UK accountancy practice
Hold RI status, or be in a position to achieve RI status within c.18 months
Experience managing a mixed portfolio of accounts, tax and advisory clients
Confident managing senior client relationships and complex matters
Commercially minded and comfortable contributing to leadership discussions
Enjoy developing people and supporting the wider team
