Job Description:

The Credit Financing team at Citi is seeking a Director-level structurer to join its team. The role involves structuring, rating, and distributing lending facilities backed by portfolios of corporate credit. Candidates will work with rating agencies, syndicate partners, and cross-functional teams throughout the transaction lifecycle. This role focuses on complex fund and lending structures and requires expertise in corporate credit, structured finance products, and alternative assets.

Job Responsibility:

Serve as the key resource on the deal team for lending projects, including drafting transaction term sheets, client negotiation, rating agency interaction and review of transaction documentation
Identify key structural, credit / market risk, and operational factors present in current and prospective credit facilities, and clearly articulate strategies to minimize and manage these risks and present them to our risk partners
Work with potential syndicate partners to distribute risk
Originate and develop innovative financing solutions for Citi’s clients with a focus on more complex transactions
Develop new products and structures to enable the business to more efficiently distribute risk to third parties including insurance investors
Coordinate periodic reviews with borrowers, as well as internal and external partners, to stay abreast of developments in each underlying portfolio and the broader market

Requirements:

At least 10 years of relevant experience in structuring and/or rating complex structured products
Solid understanding of the corporate credit market, private credit, leveraged loans, corporate bonds, CLOs, CFOs, rated note feeders and other asset backed securities
Knowledge of private debt funds, SPV/SPE and lending structures, as well as a strong understanding of alternative assets including direct lending, private equity and other structured instruments
Candidate should have a good foundation in financial statement analysis in a corporate debt context
Experience working on a sell-side securitization desk or rating agency preferred
Good communication and presentation skills
Candidate must be a team player
