Job Description:

The Director oversees all aspects of campus operations and serves as the primary representative of Kodiak College to the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) and to local, regional, statewide, and national partners. Reporting directly to the UAA Chancellor, the Director works closely with the Provost, Vice Chancellors, Deans, and system leaders to provide visionary leadership, strategic directions, and operational oversight in support of the university’s mission and priorities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee all aspects of campus operations
  • Serve as primary representative of Kodiak College to UAA and local, regional, statewide, and national partners
  • Provide visionary leadership, strategic directions, and operational oversight in support of university’s mission
  • Serve as chief advocate for Kodiak College within UAA system
  • Advance UAA’s strategic plans
  • Foster innovation and academic excellence
  • Serve as primary budget authority for the college
  • Champion commitment to accessible education, workforce development, and community partnership
  • Cultivate strong relationships with industry, government, tribal organizations, school districts, Coast Guard, and community partners
  • Support faculty and staff in delivering high-quality academic and career-focused programs
  • Build community and create an environment where people feel valued, connected, and inspired

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Three to five years of administrative leadership experience, including program planning, budget management, and the development and management of personnel
  • Official transcripts documenting academic credentials required as a condition of employment

Nice to have:

  • Doctorate (or equivalent terminal degree)
  • Further administrative leadership experience in higher education/post-secondary setting
