As Director, U.S. Men’s Mental Health, you will provide senior leadership and oversight of mental health strategy and delivery in the United States (U.S.), leading a significant portfolio of programs and partnerships with approximately $10–15 million in investment. Working as part of a U.S.-based, cross-functional leadership team, your focus will be on both program design and delivery, strong people leadership, and ensuring impact at scale.

  • Lead the U.S. mental health portfolio
  • Senior leadership and people management
  • Program governance, delivery, and investment oversight
  • Cross-functional and external leadership
  • Strategic contribution without portfolio siloing

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in mental health, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Demonstrated leadership of large, complex, multi-year mental health programs with significant investment or scale
  • Strong background in practical program delivery in government, NFP, health, or consulting

  • Ability to translate strategy and evidence into clear, operational delivery plans and execute them effectively
  • Experience leading, managing, and developing multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability to represent an organisation externally as a senior leader or spokesperson
  • Ability to work a minimum of 2-3 days per week based in our Santa Monica office.

Nice to have

  • Experience within men’s mental health, including oversight of programs, teams, or portfolios focused on male populations
  • Experience overseeing large mental health portfolios rather than single programs
  • Familiarity with the U.S. mental health system, funding environments, or large-scale service delivery
  • Familiarity with evaluation, learning, and/or theory of change applied in real-world program delivery

What we offer

  • Health insurance, vision, dental benefits and 401k
  • Free Headspace subscription and Employee Assistance Program
