Job Description:

As Director of Transportation for UCAN region, you will lead domestic transportation of finished goods from Plant/Supplier through to End Customer mainly across the US and Canada. You will lead owned and 3PL operated fleets, common carriers, deployment planning and transportation execution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead domestic transportation of finished goods from Plant/Supplier through to End Customer mainly across the US and Canada
  • Lead owned and 3PL operated fleets, common carriers, deployment planning and transportation execution
  • Lead the UCAN Transportation team from a strategic and execution standpoint to achieve performance targets
  • Serve as a mentor, develop, and coach talent
  • Cultivate relationships with transportation partners
  • Ensure key metrics are in place while effectively managing the domestic and international flow of raw material and finished goods to deliver on financial commitments for an annual budget of approximately $350M
  • Champion the continued rollout and adoption of new logistics systems, including TMS, Control Tower, and Freight Pay solutions
  • Develop and maintain a strong business continuity plan to ensure readiness for potential disruption
  • Partner with Procurement to drive the RFI/RFP processes across transportation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a supply chain/logistics field required
  • 10+ years of related experience in Transportation, Supply Chain, and/or Logistics
  • TMS (Trax) and Kinaxis (Rapid Response) knowledge preferred
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Ability to travel minimum of 30% domestically
