We're a multidisciplinary design firm with a growing global footprint and more than a century of experience shaping some of the country's most influential spaces—from university campuses and civic hubs to luxury resorts and Fortune 500 workplaces. Our Education Studio is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Director to join our Education studio who's ready to get hands-on across a range of project types and scales.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage design and production work for the Term Contracts team
  • Work closely with Principals and Baskervill support staff to make sure Baskervill processes are followed
  • Mentor junior design staff to make sure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Serve as the client's primary point of contact for projects
  • Be involved in all aspects of the design process, including internal and external team meetings, from concept through construction administration
  • Coordinate with internal and external project team members, engineers, and consultants in a timely fashion, with professionalism and compassion
  • Oversee drawings in Revit

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering
  • 12+ years of professional architecture, interior design or engineering experience, ideally with experience in Education project types
  • Professional licensure or working towards licensure
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Experience managing/mentoring junior staff
  • The willingness to travel, as there will be travel to regional campuses required

Nice to have

Knowledge and aptitude in other design software platforms preferred, including but not limited to: SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, and Office 365

  • Partner with Legal Department members to assist with the drafting, negotiation and management of a high volume of contracts for clinical, research, quality, manufacturing, commercial and other internal business partners, including clinical trial agreements, master services agreements, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements, research agreements and other business agreements
