Job Description:

The Director, Technology Platforms is a strategic and operational leadership role responsible for executing the technology roadmap to support the Mozilla Foundation's mission and growth. This leader ensures that all underlying platforms—including data & analytics, web, and CRM systems—are robust, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs, driving efficiency and impact across the Foundation's programs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide steady and strategic leadership to the Technology team
  • Act as a strategic partner to organizational leadership on technology, data, and digital infrastructure decisions
  • Oversee ongoing projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Support strategic decision-making related to technology systems, investments, and vendor relationships
  • Serve as a key liaison to the Leadership Team
  • Oversee the Technology team’s budget
  • Provide strategic direction and prioritization across the Foundation’s product portfolio
  • Ensure the continued development and delivery of digital products and platforms
  • Maintain momentum and accountability on key initiatives
  • Bring a strong digital and technology perspective to organizational planning and reporting
  • Champion a culture of learning, experimentation, and responsible technology use
  • Provide management and mentorship to the Technology team’s managers and staff
  • Support and coach managers
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team culture

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in digital, product, or technology leadership roles
