This role reports to Vice President – Storage and is primarily responsible to manage team responsible for 24/7 operations across multiple storage technologies in both private and public clouds. This role is also responsible for providing highest degree of availability working with vendors, build and engineering teams and provide coaching, mentoring help to resources.
Job Responsibility:
Manage 24/7 storage operations team
Responsible for Incident/problem/change management
Partner with build/engineering teams to make sure operations are running smoothly
Manage resources and provide coaching/mentoring
Single point of contact during India business hours for any escalations, availability issues
Provide key inputs for Re-Engineering opportunities
Drive efficiency across existing technologies
Provide thought leadership on Organization strategy and align operations team with Organization strategy
Partner with various teams and stakeholders to drive project governance & Operational readiness
Work with extended teams across the globe
Manage relations with multiple vendors
Customer management
Proactive thinking to reduce incidents, increase MTTR
Handle service reviews with Sr Leadership
Identify opportunities for automation and reduce manual intervention include self-healing
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related disciplines
or equivalent bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field
At least 12-14 years of working knowledge on one of Storage/Compute/Network technologies
Strong knowledge on Incident/problem/change management
Strong working experience on ITIL processes
Proven experience on driving 24/7 teams at Enterprise scale
Stakeholder management, situation management, presentation skills for Sr. Leadership
Strong communication and inter-personal skills
Focus on customer delivery and excellence
Nice to have:
Experience in product life cycle management from build to decommission is a benefit.
