Job Description

Within CO+I, the Core Datacenter Services (CDS) team is responsible for improving overall availability and efficiency for Microsoft’s cloud business. We have multiple teams focused on both Microsoft and Lessor datacenter performance and all aspects of datacenter utilization effectiveness that includes power, water and labor. We are seeking a Director - Supply Chain Execution (S&OE- Sales & Operation Execution) to support the Operational Supply Chain across datacenters globally. This role will own developing the strategy to scale and optimize our data center inventory targets and replenishment plans to support critical environment spares and support Microsoft’s AI delivery for DC operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and execute the strategy and standards for end-to-end supply chain operational execution throughout all nodes in the supply chain
  • Leads integrated supply chain activities by aligning demand, supply, logistics functions to optimize cost, service, and inventory performance
  • Safety & Security: Deliver safe and secure solutions for internal and external customer commitments as the highest priority
  • Operations: Manage day-to-day relationships with third parties to ensure compliance while maximizing output execution
  • Supply Chain Management: Escalate and resolve field supply chain issues, prioritize service based on material lead times and availability, track and analyze material consumption trends
  • Build working relationships across multiple disciplines (Sourcing, Finance, Data Center Operations, Suppliers and others)
  • Implement measurement frameworks to enable data-driven decision-making
  • Technical Program Management: Serve as an expert in tools and processes for managing supply and driving improvements to meet critical business outcomes
  • Defines and drives process changes and improvements
  • Creates culture and atmosphere for teams with efficient processes
  • Coaches and mentors other team members with challenges

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis OR equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years experience supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis or related experience OR equivalent experience

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of cloud infrastructure and datacenter environments such as power, physical space, rack units, cooling, cable routing and management
