Job Description:

The Director- Strategic Procurement & Supply Chain will be responsible for locating and maintaining the best sources of supply for the components, materials, and services for our customers. This individual will consider all aspects of relationship with suppliers, including quality, value, and the ability to respond quickly to changing supply requirements. S/he will aim to select suppliers that can act as long-term partners and assist the company meet its growth objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance or Economics required
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business or Economics preferred
  • 8-10 years’ experience in purchasing, preferably within the construction/general contracting/mechanical contracting industries
  • Preferred experience within a strategic role including financial, supplier relationship, and/or risk management, IT and equipment related to facilities, construction, general/mechanical contracting, intelligent building industries and/or energy management solutions
  • CPSM, CPSD Certifications preferred
  • Excellent communication, project management and relationship building skills a must
  • Experience creating and managing projects and sourcing events required
  • High degree of judgment and ingenuity required in dealing with complex factors
  • Aptitude for tracking external market trends and the ability to quickly source current data, bench-marking and industry opinions for a variety of vendors preferred
  • Data analysis skills and proficiency in MS Excel 2007 and/or 2010
  • able to analyze large datasets, able to convert raw data into usable, presentable information
  • Must be proficient in PowerPoint
  • individual should be comfortable giving presentations (both live and via WebEx) to large groups and senior leaders + Project Management
  • Strong background in managing a project, timeline, and resources
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with MS Office, Microsoft 365
