As the head of finance for Uber's EMEA delivery business, you will build and lead the Finance team supporting the EMEA delivery organization. You will be a key member of the Delivery Strategic Finance leadership team and the primary Finance partner to the Regional General Manager of our European Delivery business which spans across online food delivery and grocery & retail. In this role, you will lead strategic capital allocation and investment strategy across Uber Delivery EMEA business in collaboration with regional operations and commercial team. You will serve as the “CFO” to the EMEA Delivery Organization.
Job Responsibility:
Lead Financial Strategy and Planning: Serve as the primary finance leader for EMEA Delivery org, driving forecasting, budgeting, and performance management aligned to Uber’s balanced scorecard of growth, profitability, customer experience, and industry leadership
Partner with Business Leadership: Work directly with the GM of EMEA Delivery business, and the country leadership teams to guide investment decisions, manage the P&L, and ensure efficient deployment of capital
Provide Data-Driven Insights: Connect financial outcomes to operational performance, competitive dynamics, and market trends to influence executive decision-making
Shape and Execute Strategy: Collaborate with product, marketing, operations, and engineering leaders to translate strategic priorities—such as affordability, innovation, and new business lines—into actionable financial roadmaps
Develop and Scale the Team: Grow and mentor a high-performing finance team in EMEA, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and innovation
Drive Organizational Efficiency: Evolve planning, forecasting, and reporting processes to meet the needs of a complex, fast-scaling business while maintaining financial rigor
Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal, HR, Tech, and Communications to ensure alignment between strategy, compliance, and execution
Champion Innovation: Lead efforts to modernize forecasting and performance management through automation, AI, and data analytics
Requirements:
12+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Finance, corporate finance and capital allocation
Experience at a high-growth enterprise—preferably in a sales-driven and marketplace environment
Proven success building or leading Finance functions
Proven track record of delivering business results and managing large, complex P&Ls
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have:
BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
Deep knowledge of capital allocation
Strong financial modeling skills and experience with financial planning tools
Demonstrated cross-functional leadership experience, especially with Sales, Ops, HR, and Strategy
Excellent communication skills, executive presence, and a strategic yet agile mindset with a bias for action
Passion for marketplaces, technology, and solving complex operational challenges at scale
