Job Description:

Responsible for Strategic Communications for Comcast Advertising’s FreeWheel business, including both external and internal messaging and narratives. Working in close collaboration across the Communications team, this person will forge relationships with stakeholders across FreeWheel Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing, Leadership, and more. Must be a very strong strategic thinker, writer and communicator. Responsible for ideating and writing press releases, blogs, thought leadership pieces, employee communications, and more. A deep understanding of Advertising Technology and the Media Industry is a must. This candidate should have a “player/owner” mentality, as they will be responsible for big strategic thinking, as well as the writing of these communications. Writing samples will be required.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop effective internal and external communications strategies
  • Drive messaging/narratives for FreeWheel, writing and managing communications including press releases, blogs, thought leadership, interview and speaker talking points, employee communications and more
  • Develop specific and detailed communications around FreeWheel’s ad technology products, concepts, and narratives
  • Drive the FreeWheel message and relationship for broader Communications team, collaborating across teams and businesses to ensure consistency and accuracy in communications
  • Develops public relations initiatives aligned with business
  • Provides cross-functional communication related to projects
  • Develops and sustains the mutual understanding between an organization and its public use of media and communications to project and protect the appropriate image

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 Years + relevant work experience
  • Deep understanding of Advertising Technology and the Media Industry
  • Strong strategic thinker, writer and communicator
  • Ability to take complex topics and explain them in simple, interesting, and engaging ways for various audiences
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary
