Mastercard has a vision to build a leadership position as the only truly multi-rail payments technology company and Europe is at the forefront in defining and executing our multi-rail strategy. The Mastercard Move Central Europe team is looking for a Director, Specialist Sales focusing on driving long-term and short-term strategic initiatives in commercializing Mastercard Move across Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Your role will involve crafting compelling value propositions, developing go-to-market strategies, driving business development, and collaborating with local account management teams & customer solutions centres. You'll also maintain a constant alignment with the regional product team to ensure our products evolve to meet the division's needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as the business owner for Mastercard Move in Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia, leading both long term strategy and day to day execution
  • Craft compelling value propositions tailored to priority customer segments across Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia
  • Lead business development efforts: pipeline creation, deal shaping, sales training, and partner engagement
  • Evaluate business cases, new business models and partnership opportunities to strengthen our competitive position
  • Drive market analysis and translate insights into impactful commercial and product strategies
  • Select and monitor KPIs that measure commercial success and turn data into actionable insights
  • Work closely with the regional product organization and global New Payment Platforms teams to shape product evolution for Europe
  • Partner with the Customer Solutions Center Lead and other stakeholders to identify, qualify and convert business opportunities
  • Ensure seamless delivery and implementation for customers
  • Monitor and ensure customer success and performance
  • Serve as an ambassador for Mastercard Move internally and externally
  • Champion the adoption of innovative money movement solutions across the ecosystem

Requirements:

  • Extensive professional experience executing business development across different payment types, technologies and customer segments (banks, fintechs, corporates, merchants, software vendors, governments)
  • Existing industry network in Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia
  • Proven experience translating strategies into clear action plans for multiple markets simultaneously
  • Proven track record managing P&L and delivering sales beyond targets
  • Experience in Cross Border Payments is a must (including understanding of market economics and dynamics of FX rates)
  • Experience in Card push payments is a strong plus
  • Good understanding of FX markets, the four party scheme and alternative payment methods
  • Understanding of the four-party model and alternative payment methods
  • Familiarity with a range of other payment network technologies and ecosystems is a strong plus
  • Ability to turn strategy into practical, actionable plans
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Advanced degree or MBA preferred
  • High self motivation, curiosity and creativity especially when navigating ambiguous or “blue ocean” opportunities
  • Ability to independently drive complex initiatives with minimal direction in a matrix organisation
  • Outstanding communication skills and executive presence
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Polish and/or Czech will differentiate you
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to simplify complexity and extract clear narratives from data and trends
  • Solid tech foundation: Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce are must haves
  • Skills in AI, Tableau and other productivity tools is highly valued
  • Authentic, ethical, open to feedback and eager to grow continuously
