This leader will serve as a key technical advisor to the sales team, guiding healthcare clients through complex solution design, EMR integration, and interoperability. With deep subject matter expertise across platforms like Epic, Cerner, Meditech, and Athenahealth, the Director will drive high-impact demos, sales enablement, and technical strategy across enterprise sales engagements.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the primary technical expert in strategic sales pursuits, effectively communicating how solutions improve care delivery, workflow, and patient outcomes
Deliver tailored, technically grounded product demonstrations to clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders
Develop compelling technical presentations, proof-of-concepts, and sales tools tailored to healthcare providers
Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape, continuously enhancing sales enablement content and product messaging
Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams and client-side technical teams throughout the sales cycle
Build and maintain technical sales playbooks, role-specific toolkits, objection-handling frameworks, and tailored messaging
Design and lead structured training programs to accelerate ramp-up time and technical fluency across the sales team
Coordinate sales readiness for product launches, including live training and enablement material delivery
Provide deep subject matter expertise on infrastructure, EMR integrations, interoperability (HL7, FHIR, CDA), and secure data exchange
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to relay customer requirements and influence product roadmap development
Establish channels for capturing sales feedback and synthesize insights to improve messaging and training programs
Contribute to RFP responses, technical documentation, and proposal development
Define and track enablement KPIs (ramp time, sales cycle efficiency, cross-sell activity, etc.) and optimize based on trends
Requirements:
7+ years in healthcare technology with direct experience in provider settings, EMR systems, and sales support
Strong knowledge of Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Athenahealth, and healthcare IT integration methodologies
Expertise in healthcare interoperability standards and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, HITECH, HL7, FHIR, CDA)
Proven ability to support complex, enterprise healthcare sales engagements or technical pre-sales environments
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling, client-ready narratives
Experience working across cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, and Engineering
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare informatics, computer science, or a related field
Master’s preferred
Background in sales engineering, technical consulting, or solution design
Relevant certifications (Epic, HL7, FHIR) and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Nice to have:
Understanding of care coordination, population health, or revenue cycle systems is a plus
