You will be responsible for leading teams chartered with infrastructure innovations that enable software engineers, research scientists, data scientists, ML engineers to deploy solutions at planet scale and meet Meta’s growing product and business needs.
Job Responsibility:
Build, manage and support varied teams of software & hardware engineers and engineering managers/directors
Provide both technical and organizational leadership
Form cross-functional and cross-discipline partnerships to drive engineering efforts
Establish effective strategies and execute against them
Uphold a culture of respect, integrity, inclusion, innovation
Requirements:
Significant technical industry experience
Strong management experience
Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management
Proven track record managing globally distributed teams
Nice to have:
Experience with AR/VR or related fields including robotics, automotive, aerospace and digital photography
Experience with sensors for AI such as: 1. Camera, IMUs and depth sensing 2. Management and creation of synthetic spatial data 3. Sensor simulation / emulation 4. Sensor tuning and calibration 5. Image processing algorithms
Experience with Spatial AI techniques such as: 1. Core computer vision / ML 2. 3D spatial reasoning, mapping and reconstruction 3. GIS fundamentals 4. Mixed reality
