Job Description:

Associate Director Software Engineering role at HSBC's GTS Technology department, responsible for leading Embedded Finance projects and driving engineering excellence

Job Responsibility:

Lead GTS Embedded Finance project(s)
Be active engineer in building engineering standards and automating controls
Lead design discussions and assist team in deciding approach
Represent team in senior stakeholders group
Establish and evolve necessary controls in Engineering practice
Automate Engineer practices to world class level
Carry out requirements analysis on project scope
Work with development members on sprint/release regression test
Innovate usage and performance of automation code
Coordinate with different role stakeholders
Foresee and identify potential risks
Provide consultant to teams on process optimization
Hold knowledge share activities

Requirements:

Provide technical leadership across end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle
Carry out software development, testing and operational support activities
Drive activities to support Engineering Excellence
Promote culture of continuous improvement
Establish digital environment and automate processes
Liaise with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders
Provide support to DevOps teams
Ensure operational issues are identified and addressed
Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents
Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met
Keep up to date on current tools, technologies, cyber security and regulations
Work with industry groups/peers and vendors
Promote innovation and adoption of cutting edge technologies
Work with Engineering Practice to promote development of engineers
Create vibrant Engineering Culture
