Job Responsibility:
Recruit, build and manage software development team, including fulltime employee and contract worker
Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope
Monitor or track project milestones, progress and deliverables to meet deliverable timelines
Direct or coordinate activities of project personnel
Monitor the performance of project team members, providing and documenting performance feedback
Analyze and decompose high-level business needs into actionable tasks and deliverables
Prioritize tasks effectively based on business impact, resource availability, and project timelines
Invent, develop, and extend the internally developed software frameworks to improve efficacy, enhance operational workflows, and deliver advanced and life-changing biotech medicines
Define feature sets for innovative software solutions to meet Amgen's software development needs and DevOps for software implementation and enhancement
Design and improve capabilities across Amgen's cloud security architecture to integrate server less and micro services Cl/CD pipelines with Amazon Web Services, custom code development, DataOps, and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications
Design, build, and develop rapid Proof-of-Concept (POC) solutions and services
Develop, test, deploy, and operate the service globally using one or more general purpose programming languages
Maintaining the highest levels of development practices, including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution, and writing clean, modular, and self-sustaining code
Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering and business teams to gather and understand detailed requirements
Report on project deliverables to stakeholders
Determine software architecture and ensure quality, security, and compliance
Supervises direct reports.
Requirements:
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field & 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a software development-related occupation
6 years of experience in Utilizing Cloud Computing Infrastructure Services including AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform to Deploy and Operate Software Applications
Utilizing Serverless Programming Technologies including AWS Lambda or Kubernetes to Develop Micro-Service Backend Software Services
Utilizing Fullstack Engineering Technologies including Javascript or Nodejs, Html5, CSS to Develop Web-Based Applications
Utilizing Mainstream Programming Languages including Java, Javascript, or Python to Develop Custom Software Solutions
Utilizing DevOps practices and version control systems such as SVN and Git to develop application platforms that meet software development lifecycle requirements.
