Job Description:

The Director, Scenario Design Lead will lead a four-member team responsible for designing macroeconomic scenarios used for various corporate purposes such as CCAR, stress testing, financial planning, and loan loss reserves. The role includes responsibilities such as scenario design, stakeholder engagement, stress testing, regulatory compliance, risk monitoring, team training, and promoting a collaborative and innovative work culture.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, maintain, and update scenarios for various use cases
  • develop, enhance, and maintain guidelines for scenario design
  • engage with stakeholders regarding scenario-related activities
  • conduct complex stress testing and loss forecasting scenarios
  • contribute to stress testing consent order remediation and management of other regulatory issues
  • monitor and report on all risk categories and predicted losses
  • maintain regular interaction with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • provide training for junior team members
  • stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes
  • inspire team members and establish a collaborative culture
  • champion innovative risk management strategies
  • create and reinforce exceptional controls
  • proactively solve systemic enterprise challenges
  • energize and reinforce ethical environments.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience
  • 10+ years of experience in macroeconomic analysis or forecasting or scenario design
  • experience with managing a global forecasting process is greatly valued
  • experience in building and managing teams
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • extensive understanding of the Global regulatory landscape with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context
  • experience providing oversight and managing complex projects or processes
  • previous experience managing regulatory inspections and audits within a financial services company
  • extensive project management experience
  • strong commercial awareness and expert knowledge in the field of risk management
  • broad knowledge of a range of risk categories, including Financial and Non-Financial risks
  • comprehensive understanding of credit and operational policies and procedures
  • proven experience in a compliance, audit, or similar control or governance role
  • excellent communication skills for effective negotiation
  • ability to interpret complex financial and risk reporting
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • exceptional organizational skills
  • strong leadership skills
  • strong networking skills
  • high adaptability to respond to changes in the business environment
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
