Job Description:

As our Director Respiratory / Cardiopulmonary Services for Community Hospital San Bernardino you will be responsible for the coordination, provision and delivery of high quality cardiopulmonary services, and to provide leadership in analyzing and projecting present and future needs for our respiratory services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinate, provide and deliver high quality cardiopulmonary services
  • Provide leadership in analyzing and projecting present and future needs for respiratory services
  • Work in collaboration with hospital executive leaders, other department leaders, and front-line leaders and staff in cardiopulmonary services to develop and implement integrated policies and procedures
  • Ensure that standards, policies, and procedures are followed in daily practice
  • Compile continuous quality improvement projects in coordination with key personnel
  • Plan and implement new service plans and departmental changes
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation, certification, licensure and government standards relevant to the different cardiopulmonary/neurodiagnostic services
  • Ensure CLIA and CAP regulations are met in the Blood Gas Laboratory

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, or combination of education and/or additional job related experience in lieu of the degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in related field required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of management experience required
  • Current California license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
