Job Description:

The Mid-Corp Relationship Manager is a strategic professional who closely follows the latest Consumer & Retail trends, adapts them for application in covering clients and developing dialogue with prospects, and understands the competitive landscape. The Relationship Manager is adept at understanding a client's financial performance and participates actively in the credit underwriting process. This individual understands how clients capitalize themselves, is knowledgeable about the debt capital markets, and knows how to position the bank to compete for lead capital markets roles.

Job Responsibility:

  • Be a subject matter expert in the Consumer & Retail vertical
  • Understand and follow trends within the industry to provide thought leadership to clients
  • Drive innovation on the solutions we provide clients through partnerships with product specialists
  • Execution experience on complex deals with a proven ability to lead a deal team process
  • Oversee the credit relationship of the client
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies
  • Responsible for actively calling on clients to deepen relationships
  • Develop relationships with prospects and convert to multi-product clients
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made
  • Mentoring Analysts, Associates and Junior Bankers

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience
  • FINRA Licensing, Series 79, 63, SIE
  • In-depth knowledge of all aspects of commercial banking including strong commercial credit knowledge
  • Demonstrates an expert level of Early Warning Detection skills
  • Demonstrates expert level credit skills
  • capable of structuring all credit deals
  • Ability to work effectively in team setting
  • Ability to lead multi-functional teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while making sound decisions
  • Highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities
