Job Description:

The Regional Director of Strategic Partnerships serves as the sales lead in Tampa and Orlando responsible for driving sponsorship revenue for Florida State University Athletics under the Legends Global partnership model.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute a regional corporate sponsorship sales strategy with the objective of increasing annual revenue
  • Cultivation and selling of corporate partnerships to companies primarily located in the Orlando and Tampa area
  • Ideate and build proposals based on client needs and strategies
  • Coordinate with Activation team on the execution of promised client deliverables
  • Lead the partnership sales identification, closing negotiations and activation efforts
  • Represent the University sports property, the University, and Legends Global in a professional manner
  • Ensure all revenue-generating activities and operations comply with local, state, and federal laws, as well as all NCAA and conference rules and regulations
  • Build strong understanding of all University and Legends Global business units and offerings in order to leverage new business areas, leads, and categories
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Expertise in sponsorship negotiation and partner activation
  • Experience collaborating within university or multi-stakeholder environments
  • Strong understanding of marketing, CRM, and data analytics tools used in sports business
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and grow high-performing teams
  • Experience collaborating with university administration, athletic departments, rights holders, and external agencies
  • 10 years of experience in revenue generation, sponsorship sales, or marketing within collegiate athletics, professional sports, media, or a related industry
  • Proven success overseeing complex, multi-line P&L or annual revenue portfolios exceeding $1,000,000
