A key player in Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Drive the vision and direction of the Quality Department within the region as business consultants. Position Quality as independent assurance organization (4 eyes principle) to secure top-class quality where it matters the most. Leads and manages regional quality team, a team of product and process subject matter experts. Guide Liaison Office (LO) teams and suppliers to develop a right-the-first-time culture and execution of quality assurance procedures.
Job Responsibility:
Work cross-divisionally and cross-functionally with respective counterparts to drive and implement one aligned adidas quality direction
Lead and manage all quality related themes in development, commercialization, and production
Ensure quality performance targets are achieved and objectives accomplished
Manage a lean and effective quality organization. Ensure adequate guidance, training and development is in place to meet the needs of the organization
Build and maintain strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders and business partners
Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace
Develop and coach team to ensure the best standards of performance, appropriate skillsets and strong succession plans are in place
Lead Product Integrity related activities. Single point of contact to product teams (creation and manufacturing) and cross-functional counterparts on product integrity inquiries
Own product risk assessment and decisions on exceptional management (FD/LR, EVS), address and follow through specific quality assurance measures on product level
Consistent execution of brand, sourcing and customer priority products with elevated service level provided
Secure the right testing execution and validation on laboratory and perception testing as per product intended use, performed at Tier 1 (T1), Tier 2 (T2) or 3rd parties
Manage test level allocation for products created under Asia Operating Model
Monitor product integrity, including A-01, CMA risky articles, buy-ready compliance, flag any potential risk on and escalate non-compliance
Track warehouse claims and defective returns to coordinate analysis in collaboration with LO Operational Management and Claim Management Team. Ensure that root cause is identified, corrective action plans are established and executed
In collaboration with Director Quality Testing & Compliance, ensure flawless knowledge transfer with implementation of testing related knowledge on new or critical technologies (QA-Plans, functional testing, etc.)
Lead Process Implementation on adidas Quality systems, programs & processes
Upskill LO and supplier teams on Quality documentation and manage implementation of related quality policies, manuals, and standards
Manage and conduct factory audits, within the region/country/assigned operations area(s) through consistent application of available evaluation tools. Ensure factory audits are conducted on production and testing processes
quality management systems to verify the performance level
Onboarding of new suppliers to enable supplier teams to manage daily quality activities independently according to adidas quality standards
Certification of T1 AQL inspectors, in collaboration with T1 Quality and LO Manufacturing teams
Implementation of 3rd party inspection programs at T1
Support quality related projects, trials, and initiatives at T1 and T2 suppliers
Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally
Requirements:
University degree in engineering/materials or related areas
Minimum 10+ years of experience of which ideally 5 years were in quality concepts and managerial positions
Have a wide experience of quality management concepts in manufacturing of consumer goods
Strong conceptual thinking
Strong influencing and communication skills
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Strong Microsoft office Skills
Strong leadership skills and ability to lead multidimensional teams
