Job Description:

We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Quality Assurance to lead AbsenceSoft’s Quality Assurance function. This role will ensure the highest levels of software reliability, performance, and compliance across our leave management solutions. You’ll oversee QA strategy, testing frameworks, and automation processes while building and mentoring a high-performing QA team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader passionate about innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define and execute the overall quality vision, strategy, and roadmap to align with business and product goals
  • Innovate new approaches to increase product quality using AI and automation tools
  • Oversee test planning, execution, and defect management across multiple product lines
  • Drive adoption of automation frameworks and continuous integration practices
  • Ensure software quality standards comply with industry regulations and company requirements
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure high-quality product delivery
  • Establish and track key quality metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement
  • Develop, mentor, and manage QA team members, fostering growth and professional development
  • Partner with engineering leadership to integrate QA best practices into the development lifecycle
  • Lead risk assessment processes and develop mitigation strategies to ensure product reliability

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in software QA, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven success in leading QA strategy, automation, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire high-performing teams
  • Deep expertise in QA methodologies, tools, automation frameworks, and CI/CD practices
  • Ability to define and measure quality metrics for product success
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
  • Experience in SaaS, HR technology, or compliance-driven environments preferred
  • Strategic thinker with data-driven decision-making ability
  • Familiarity with AI-driven quality improvements and innovation in testing
